The GameChanger for Women has been developed to help women in business and leadership to build and strengthen skills and confidence to go further in careers.
In 2009, Laura Morrison began coaching mid-career and senior women in the workplace, and identified common themes through interview and coaching that were stopping talented, and often, exceptionally experienced and well-qualified women reaching their full potential in the technology sector.
The most common themes were:
- Lack of confidence and signs of “Imposter Syndrome” preventing next steps being taken in the workplace
- Women understood, but felt unable to tap in to the power of building and leveraging relationships in the same way as their male colleagues
- A fear of “being seen” meaning that career achievements were overlooked, or that contribution was not fully recognised in teams.
In 2014, through creating The GameChanger Consultancy, and delivering training and coaching to women at the helm of their own businesses, Laura discovered the same issues existed in that arena – though with different results – and that instead of hampering career progression, the challenges were hampering business growth.

From these deeply personal conversations on the needs of high performing women, and observing the impact that quality coaching and training made to raising confidence and personal ownership, the GameChanger for Women emerged.
For those seeking a shorter programme, at an earlier stage in their career, The GameChanger for Women 21 Day programme in 2016 has attracted 500 registrants, globally, from diverse backgrounds who want to make an impact not only in their career, but on the world around them. The participants come from all walks of life, from senior corporate leaders, to creators and innovators in socially responsible enterprises in developing economies.
What makes the GameChanger for Women different to most programmes?
The programme encourages women not only to be the best they can, but to examine WHY that matters and what their legacy will be. The programme encourages women to build a resilient personal network of associates from different fields and to be part of a community that thinks and acts differently, in a period of high-speed technological change where how we do business is becoming ever more important.
How does it work?
The GameChanger for Women Programmes embraces technology to create community and deliver distance learning, through a variety of mediums to cover all learning styles enables participation, regardless of organisational responsibilities, geography and timezones.
Our programmes use a mixture of webinars, reflective exercises, and feedback through online learning communities, with evaluation through post-course review. This enables participation regardless of geography and time zones, meaning the participant can engage with the learning in a way that best suits their schedule. The themes selected provide an introduction in the areas that our clients have found most impactful from the pilot sessions in 2015.
The options on the public programme include additional coaching support and analysis using the GC Index, a profile measuring where an individual can make a “gamechanging” contribution. The programme is designed to quickly and effectively help women, who may have reached a career plateau, or who are re-entering the workplace following periods of transition to fully reflect on career to date, achievements and strengths, and to understand how these experiences can set a course for direction and growth in the next phase of their working life.
It is also suitable for women who are running, or who aspire to run their own business and has been tested with female entrepreneurs.

Designed to follow the introductory 21 Day Programme (which is also available as a standalone course), this contains 10 Modules delivered over 90 days, which enable participants to go deeper and begin to look at storytelling, personal accountability and responsibility for results and to also build stronger task orientation to enable them to communicate effectively, in ways which make impact, raising profile and influence.
These skills are particularly important in areas where there is a traditional leaning towards male-dominated environments, particularly in STEM.
Learning can be consolidated and supported through tailored 1-1 coaching or group coaching for organisations, which can be delivered in person on-site or using conferencing technology.
